When you want to give that special someone a gift that is unique, fun and full of love, then give them a personalized illustration by me, Ken Condon.  Working from photos and ideas provided by you, I sketch each person in a way that brings out their distinctive personality and charm.  Incorporated into each piece are specific, individualized elements like scenery, clothing, and props.  This gives each illustration a flair that is not only beautiful; it’s exclusive to those that receive it.

Although I have had some formal training, I am for the most part a self-taught artist.  Pencil and paper is my choice medium, but most of my commissioned work is done digitally. The art is still done the same way, it’s just that the pencil is replaced by a stylus and the paper is now a computer screen.  At the moment I am using a Motion Computing, J3500 tablet pc with a Wacom active screen.  This allows me to have unprecedented editing abilities while maintaining the pressure sensitivity and nuance of pencil and paper.  Also, working in digital media provides a convenient way to distribute each illustration as well as a more direct means in which to display my work.

Aside from creating art, I work at Perkins School for the Blind as teacher/Residential Coordinator.  I live with my beautiful wife, daughter and dog that I love dearly.  My close friend Mike Clinton and I run Zendrites Publishing. Over the past decade we have published a number of original comic strips and one-offs.  Some of which have been used, with permission of course, by a certain bleach blonde vampire from the hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer!  Mike and I have also written, illustrated and published our own children’s book called Sun and Flower: Rainy Days, which is available on amazon.com and several local book stores.
